THE VISIT OF THE VICE CHANCELLOR TO SMT. MALINI KISHORE SANGHVI HOMOEOPATHIC MEDICAL COLLEGE (MKSHMC) AND HOSPITAL, KARJAN AT THE WORLD HOMOEOPATHY DAY & WORLD HEALTH DAY CELEBRATIONS

At the MKSHMC, we celebrate various days for inculcating sound values in our students. World Homoeopathy Day was celebrated with World Health Day on the 6th of April, 2019, Gudi Padva.
On this auspicious day, the newly appointed Hon. Vice Chancellor (VC) Shri. Pratapsinh Chauhan of the Shri Govind Guru University [SGGU] was invited to visit our campus and grace the occasion.
The VC arrived the previous evening; Dr Manoj Patel had an opportunity to interact with him. Dr Manoj Patel briefed him about Dr M. L. Dhawale sir and Shri Kishorebhai Sanghvi’s contribution in creating this excellent centre of Homoeopathy at Karjan. He shared our vision and the commitment of the team for the development of scientific & standardized Homoeopathy.
The VC took a round of the College and the Hospital on the day of the Inauguration. He appreciated the Academic & Clinical work carried out in our campus, specifically in Homoeopathy. He was impressed by the work done by ‘Ummeed’ the Cerebral Palsy Centre of our institute. Later, NCC cadets from the Karjan Arts & Commerce College escorted the VC to the dais.
The Programme started with our Institutional prayer. It was followed by lighting the Lamp & garlanding of the photographs of Dr Hahnemann and Dr M. L. Dhawale by the VC and other dignitaries.
Dr Manoj Patel started his speech with the importance of a healthy lifestyle and praised the VC for his fitness & disciplined life style. He highlighted the importance of the World Health Day. By remembering Dr Hahnemann, he integrated Hahnemannian concepts of Health & one’s journey for the spiritual life to achieve the higher purpose of existence. He focused on the significant contribution of our Guru, Dr M. L. Dhawale, in Homoeopathy. Dr Patel also talked about the Vision and Mission of the Institute.
Dr Mihir Parikh gave information about the work done by the Institute in the fields of Education, Clinical, & Community. He shared the journey of getting the NABH accreditation, announcing proudly the achievement of becoming the 1st NABH-accredited Homoeopathic Hospital in the state of Gujarat. He said that the NAAC accreditation is the next target of our Institute.
The Hon. VC spoke on the “Role of the University in the Development of New India”. He gave an inspirational speech regarding his working style and about the various aspects of maintaining health. He encouraged today’s youth to live a healthy life as that is the only way to serve society, asking them to work for its betterment. He also spoke about factors which are of utmost importance for our country’s development. VC sir focused on Transparency, Creativity, and an Academic atmosphere which facilitates learning. He vividly described working on the Skill India campaign launched by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
In his value-based talk, he said that in his tenure he will bring standardization and speed up various administrative processes of the University. He expects all to fall in line and he expects us to take a lead to standardize the Homoeopathic Faculty. He specifically appreciated our students of 1st and 2nd year BHMS for sparing their Sundays for educating village children.
During his speech, he appreciated the contribution made by the Sanghvi family for creating such facilities in the rural area. He talked about the potential of our institute for starting new educational courses related to Homoeopathy and other paramedical courses, giving a clear indication that we must take a lead in the development of the Homoeopathic faculty in the University. His talk gave a lot of hope and laid down a vision for the road ahead. Later, Hon. VC sir felicitated Mr Bhingabhai Bhil for securing 2nd place in the National Level Archery Competition at Orissa, defeating Arjuna Award winner Mr Tarun Dip Ray. Mr Bhil also received mementos from other dignitaries.
The Hon. VC was felicitated by the Trustees & Principal of other colleges & organizations. Syndicate members of the SGGU and
Saurashtra University were felicitated by the core team of the MKSH & EC.
An open session of Q & A was held following the Hon. VC’s talk. It was nice to see the students interacting with the VC directly, putting forward their difficulties in developing themselves and society. They were answered by VC sir quite well. His mere presence and words were very inspirational to all especially the students of the MKSH College. Dr Ami Majumdar was the Master of Ceremonies. Mr Manish Goswami delivered the vote of thanks.
Hon Director Ashok Pathak, Prof. Anil Navle, Mr Bharatsinghji Parihar – Chairman Village health committee, Mr Jagdevsinghji Parihar, the Teaching, Non-teaching & Medical staff, Students, Trustees, Principals, Professors of other colleges were all amongst those present at the function. The function ended with the recital of the National anthem.
