The Diabetic Club

Lifestyle diseases are on the increase today not only in urban but also in rural population. By 2030, India would be having the highest number of diabetics in the world.

Diabetic club of rural homeopathic hospital was formed in year 2005 with the motivation to help diabetic patients in Palghar Boisar area. Sound advice in the areas of diet and exercise as well as scientific research in the field of diabetes is given during weekly club meetings. This is a platform where patients, their family members, doctors, social workers share their knowledge & experiences to manage this so called ‘enemy’.

Impact: Today members have been empowered to take care of their diabetes and also help others. They feel their life has become more productive and useful in spite being a diabetic.
